LANWAR is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all attendees. By attending LANWAR, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

1. Respect Your Fellow Gamers

      • Be excellent to each other – Treat fellow attendees, staff, and volunteers with kindness and respect.
      • Harassment is not tolerated – No hate speech, bullying, or discrimination. LANWAR is for everyone.
      • Keep it friendly – Healthy competition is great, but good sportsmanship is even better.
      • Respect personal boundaries – Be mindful when interacting with others.
      • Practice good hygiene – Shower before attending and use deodorant to keep LANWAR enjoyable for all.

2. Keep it Safe & Sane

      •  No weapons, alcohol, or illegal substances – This is a gaming event, not a problem zone.
      •  No smoking or vaping – LANWAR follows university property rules.
      •  Follow staff and security instructions – If they ask you to do something, there’s a reason.
      •  Wear your badge – It must be visible at all times.

3. Be a Good LAN Citizen

      • Keep noise and behavior respectful – No excessive noise, verbal abuse, or destruction of property.
      • Clean up after yourself – Throw away trash and respect others’ space.
      • Sleeping room is for resting – Keep it quiet and considerate.
      • Report issues – If something breaks or seems off, let LANWAR staff know.
      • Keep aisles clear – Bags and gear should not block walkways for safety.

4. Network & Equipment Etiquette

      • Use the network responsibly – No illegal downloads or unauthorized access.
      • Secure your gear – Respect others’ setups and avoid interfering with their equipment.
      • Mind your power use – Everyone needs access, so don’t overload circuits.
      • Coordinate with table neighbors – Ensure setups don’t block fans or encroach on others’ space.
      • No cheating – Hacks, scripts, or any unfair advantage will not be tolerated.
      • Help new players – If someone is new to LAN events, welcome them!

5. Minors at LANWAR

      • Under 18? – You need a signed Minor Consent Form and a guardian present.
      • Guardians are responsible – Make sure minors follow event rules.

6. Enforcement

      • Violations have consequences – Warnings, removal, or further action at the discretion of LANWAR staff and security.
      • Staff decisions are final – Their word is law for ensuring a great event.

7. Have Fun & Make Friends!

      • LANWAR is a community – Play, meet new people, and enjoy the experience.
      • Invite new players – If someone seems shy, bring them into the game!
      • Find a staff member for help – We’re here to make your experience great.
      • Support our sponsors – They help make LANWAR possible!
